Editing Advanced Properties
Last updated: 20-Dec-04
Editing the advanced properties is as simple as marking items to be delayed, stopped, or continued.
First, Click “Modify” in the “Program Groups” menu, or click the “Properties” button.
You’ll be taken to this screen regardless:
From here you can add program groups (to be displayed in the system tray), add programs to the startup (that aren’t currently running), modify the parameters, and delay time for them!
Open up the Startup tree, and click on any of the programs listed. This will put that information into the boxes. If you want to add a new item, leave the “Add” option selected, to edit it (NOT the default!) you must click the “Edit”. For reference, the “Add” button changes to “Update” depending on the option that’s selected.
You can add a new group name using the “Add Group” of Edit the group name with “Edit Group” You can add a group only if no group exists with that name. You can only edit a group if you select one from the combo box, and alter the name (although you can also add a new group with that name).
If you have an item selected, you may also remove it. Removing a group name will also remove ALL programs inside it. Removing a program will only remove that program.
You cannot remove the startup group, or any startup items. If you wish to
remove any of these, you must do so from the main form. You also cannot add
items to the startup group.
This is mainly a safeguard so that you can’t accidentally remove something that you need.
or potenailly add something that could have adverse side effects.
So why have the group at all then? You can’t specify delays from the main form.
