Changes

Last updated: 15-Dec-04

First change:

You can now specify the delay in between program executions, and alter the main delay that happens before the first program is executed.

In version 1, there was a standard 30 second delay before anything was run, and then all programs were run one after another immediately.

Second change:

You can now stop the execution of a program, not just delay it. While most times you can change this in the program itself (many/most legitimate programs give you an option of whether or not it runs), some don’t or make it hard to find.

Third change:

In version 1.1, the program would remove itself from the startup if no delayed items existed. This feature has been removed. While this might seem like a bad thing, this had to be done. However, you now have more control over it's startup.

You have options of: “always run for all users”, “always run for me only”, “run if delayed items”, “don’t run”

However, the “run if delayed items” option will choose where it runs, and any users can override the selection, there’s no built-in security features in these release.

Fourth change:

There are now 3 versions of the program, with a 4th being considered.

Standard – Free, just like the old standard edition (just with an annoying splash screen with a delay)

Standard+ - $2.50, you get a custom group added for the tray, and no annoying splash screen delay

Professional - $15.00, fully functional, delay items for current or all users.

Enterprise – N/A, including more potential delayed options, registry info, and services

Fifth change:

All information is backed up to the program file’s folder, and is now organized! Before it was just a jumbled mess – depending on how much you did.

Also, each user account has it’s own folder in the program folder that contains the file (user editable – although takes a bit of getting used to) that all the information for the program is stored in.

Sixth change:

You can now alter how clicking the “X” in the main screen functions. It can be either “minimize to system tray” or “close program”

Version 1 only minimized to the tray, which, while useful in some circumstances, is a nuisance in others.

Seventh change:

Delayed Startup folder items are stored in the program file’s folder (not in the programs menu of the start menu in Windows).

The registry is only used to get the list of current items, and to store an identical backup of these items.

Well, that’s the highlights of version 2. Don’t worry, the actual interface is pretty much identical, so you don’t have to re-learn anything! There’s only a couple more menus, and two more buttons visible.
